At River Tech each child learns at their own pace.

River Tech is built for artistic and tech-savvy kids who love music and technology. Along with core subjects (Math, Language Arts, Social Science, and Science), students learn technology (coding, robotics, filmmaking, and digital arts) and performing arts (music, band, choir, acting, dance, and musical theater).

Grounded in Christian values and a family-centered culture, students receive the social and academic foundation they need to succeed in life. With class sizes around 15 students, roughly half that of public schools, our teachers spend more time with each student. Through competency-based learning, each student moves at their own pace while enjoying the benefits of a positive social environment.

A student begins at a given competency level and moves to the next when they've mastered it. This competency-based method replaces artificial "grades" and lets each student learn at their own pace.

If a student excels at a subject, they can move faster. If a subject is harder, they can take more time. A child can be at different levels in different tracks.
