The Better Alternative

It's tempting to think that sending your child to public school or homeschooling your five-year-old will suffice. You may think, "They're so young; at that age, they don't really need a private school. We'll enroll them later." Yet, there are solid reasons not to delay but to enroll now in River Tech Kindergarten. We present our top nine reasons below.

SAVE A SPOT
BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE
Very likely it will not be possible to enroll in River Tech Elementary later. (Our school is full). The way to ensure a spot in our elementary school is by enrolling your child in our kindergarten. All kindergarteners will be able to enroll in River Tech K-12.

RUNNING START
NO CHILD IS HELD BACK
With our individualized, competency-based approach to learning, no child will be held back from progressing. If your child is making good progress, he can start on 1st-grade materials. That way, when he begins elementary school, he will be further along. It is the freedom to learn at your own pace.

VALUES
CHRISTIAN & CONSERVATIVE
At River Tech Kindergarten no "woke" ideology is promoted, such as "critical race theory", "sexual health education", or "cancel culture." Instead, we raise our children to love our country, the constitution, and our God-given liberties, in an atmosphere of Christian charity and learning to see the world through His eyes.

LEARN TO READ
RAISING STRONG READERS
Being a strong reader is the very foundation for accelerated learning. The rest will come later. Yet, parents and public schools can struggle to impart this vital skill. At River Tech Kindergarten we are lazer focused on teaching your child to read using books, games, crafts, playtime, etc.

TUTORING
INDIVIDUALIZED LEARNING
At River Tech Kindergarten, learning is individualized and competency-based. We have regular one-on-one tutoring, where Mary Hegelund, who holds a Masters in Education, spends individual time with each child. This allows your child to progress at the right speed.

TECH & ART
A TRUE S.T.E.A.M. ENVIRONMENT
You feel it right away when you enter River Tech School. It feels more like Santa's workshop than a regular school. Technological and artistic projects are happening everywhere! Paintings, musicals, robots, and 3D-printing is just a part of the culture here at River Tech. Your child will play & learn to be creative and innovative.

PREPARED
ENSURE A SMOOTH TRANSITION
Kindergarteners at River Tech will experience a smooth transition to elementary school by trying tech and arts subjects/toys, getting to know teachers, and participating in events with the whole school, such as concerts and field trips. By the time they start 1st grade, they will be ready.

TEAMBUILDING
CULTIVATING SOCIAL STRENGTHS
As vital as learning to read is learning to play and work well with other children. At River Tech Kindergarten we emphasize team-building and cooperative play, alongside individualized learning. We want our students to thrive in social settings, and to cultivate leadership skills.

OUR TEACHERS
WITH PASSION AND ABILITY
Mary and Alicia are the main teachers at River Tech Kindergarten. Mary has a Bachelor's & Master's in Education. Alicia is the Children's Pastor at The River Church. Meanwhile, our school's other teachers will visit several times a week. Dan will come by and teach singing and drama, while Jordan will come by and teach drawing and arts.
An Emphasis on Reading
River Tech offers Kindergarten for kids ages 5-6 years old. Being a strong reader is the very foundation for accelerated learning. The rest will come later. Our goal is that every child should know how to read before starting 1st grade, using books, games, crafts, playtime, apps, etc.

What is Kindergarten tuition?
Registration costs $120. Kindergarten Tuition is $5268/year. To make the monthly tuition as low as possible, tuition is spread over twelve months. I.e. tuition is paid twelve months per year which comes to $439/month.
For students beginning in September, the first tuition is to be paid before July 25th, and every month after. (I.e. July 25th, August 25th, September 25th, etc.).
For students beginning in the middle of the school year, two months' tuition is to be paid initially.
The reason you pay an extra month initially is because there are many start up costs when a students begins (such as desks, school books, and other equipment/materials).
You can also choose to pay for the entire school year all at once, before July 25th, with a 5% discount, which comes to $5005 for the year.
You must set up automatic payments, either through our website, or you can have your bank send monthly checks. If you send checks, make them out to River Tech, and mail them to 1517 E 1st Ave, Post Falls, 83854, ID. (Do not send them to the school address).
