Homeschool Resource Center
About River Tech Homeschool Resource Center (HRC)
River Tech Homeschool Resource Center (HRC) lets you pick & choose the tracks and classes you want for your child(ren), ages 5–12*. We plan to increase the age range every subsequent year.
2021, K–6, for ages 5–12
2022, K–7, for ages 5–13
2023, K–8, for ages 5–14, plus college coaching**.
*Extracurricular classes are open to older kids.
**We will not offer traditional high school, but will instead offer college coaching, in which we teach you how to get an accredited Bachelor's degree for less than $10,000 by age 18.
We offer five main "tracks": (1) Math-track, (2) Composition-track, (3) Life-track, (4) Tech-track, and (5) Arts-track, plus P.E., Fieldtrips, and a variety of extracurricular classes.
If you are interested in all tracks, check out our K–6 here. Instead of enrolling in all tracks, you may pick one or a few tracks.
What Does "Competency-Based" Mean?
When a child enrolls in a track, he begins at one level and proceeds to the next level when he has mastered the level he is at. This competency-based method replaces artificial "grades" and allows each student to learn at their own pace.
If a student excels at a subject, they can move faster, and if they find a subject harder they can move slower. Read about the tracks here.
