Homeschool Resource Center

About River Tech Homeschool Resource Center (HRC)

River Tech Homeschool Resource Center (HRC) lets you pick & choose the tracks and classes you want for your child(ren), ages 5–12*. We plan to increase the age range every subsequent year.

2021, K–6, for ages 5–12

2022, K–7, for ages 5–13

2023, K–8, for ages 5–14, plus college coaching**.

*Extracurricular classes are open to older kids.

**We will not offer traditional high school, but will instead offer college coaching, in which we teach you how to get an accredited Bachelor's degree for less than $10,000 by age 18.

We offer five main "tracks": (1) Math-track, (2) Composition-track, (3) Life-track, (4) Tech-track, and (5) Arts-track, plus P.E., Fieldtrips, and a variety of extracurricular classes.

If you are interested in all tracks, check out our K–6 here. Instead of enrolling in all tracks, you may pick one or a few tracks.

What Does "Competency-Based" Mean?

When a child enrolls in a track, he begins at one level and proceeds to the next level when he has mastered the level he is at. This competency-based method replaces artificial "grades" and allows each student to learn at their own pace.

If a student excels at a subject, they can move faster, and if they find a subject harder they can move slower. Read about the tracks here.

IS RIGHT FOR YOUR CHILD

Christ the Redeemer

Christian

Our children learn in an atmosphere of Christian charity, and learn to see the world through His eyes.

American Flag

Conservative

Every child should be raised to love their country, the constitution, and our God-given liberties.

Small Child with Large Glasses

Individualized

At River Tech, each child learns at their own pace, in a truly individualized competency based program. Homework is likewise individualized for each student.

Children Playing Outdoor

Small Classes

The Idaho average is one teacher per 18 students. River Tech averages one teacher per 6 students.

Prepared for Life

Along with a fantastic Tech and Arts program, we teach the classics, history, philosophy, business, entrepreneurship, and more.

Architectural Plans

Shorter Days

Public schools have gruelingly long days. Poor child! Our kindergarten is 3.5 hours (9.30am–1pm), while our elementary school is 4.5 hours (8.30am–1pm), followed by optional extracurricular activities until 3 pm.
