"Journey to Bethlehem":
Rehearsal Period: May 7th - December, 2024, Tuesdays from 12:30-1:30 pm (Auditions April 30th).
Performance Date: December 2024 (Exact date to be announced).
Get ready to embark on a melodious journey to Bethlehem! This musical odyssey will begin in May and lead us to a magnificent performance in December. Stay tuned for more details!

Music Lessons
For ages 6-9
Dan teaches younger children general music appreciation: voice, recorder, xylophone, piano, ukulele, drums, etc. Dan believes it is important for aspiring musicians to first get a foundation in all instruments. (Dan played the recorder for four years before taking piano lessons). This foundation is invaluable. While this is a private lesson, you are welcome to bring a sibling or friend (up to three people may share the Music Lesson).
For ages 9+
Singing Lessons
Some of Dan Hegelund’s past vocal students have been finalists in televised talent shows and now enjoy professional music careers. For example, Sofia Olsson, (”True Talent" Finalist, Sweden), Feridah Rose ("Denmark's Got Talent" Semi-Finalist), and Rasma Freimane ("Top Overall Vocalist", Tech Music School, London). Dan specializes in pop, r&b, soul, gospel, and jazz. While this is a private lesson, you are welcome to bring a sibling or friend (up to three people may share the Singing Lesson).
For ages 9+
Piano Lessons
Dan Hegelund is a classically trained pianist, who specializes in teaching contemporary pop, improvisation, accompaniment, and playing by ear. Dan begins by laying a classical foundation; the student learns to play a wide selection of famous classical piano pieces. Then we move on to other genres, such as pop and jazz. Students (and parents) are also welcome to suggest their favorite songs.
For ages 14+
Composition
Dan has composed more than 50 songs and can teach you how to write your own songs, and help you finish your song ideas. This class is recommended for advanced students who have several years of music studies. For example, you have sung or played an instrument for a while and are quite skilled, but now you want to take it to the next level and learn how to compose an original song.
For ages 14+
Production
Dan might have the capacity to assist you in creating your very own album. Nonetheless, there is a limited availability of slots, and the cost for recording professional musicians is substantial. Given that the process of producing a song or a CD is both time-intensive and expensive, I have established a dedicated page to provide you with an understanding of what it means. Crafting an album is a significant undertaking; yet, if you're willing to invest the required time and dedication, I might be in a position to offer my assistance. Choirs
Dan currently has a children's choir in the style of One Voice Children's Choir that is open to the homeschooling community and is FREE. Just show up! We at River Tech Music School, 1687 E Horsehaven Ave, Post Falls. Through the main entrance, up the stairs to the right on Tuesdays, starting August 22nd. 12.45-1.45 pm.
