About River Tech School
River Tech School is designed to offer a full program from kindergarten all the way through college, including high school, dual enrollment, and college coaching.
You can choose to enroll your child full-time or part-time. Full time is five days a week, 8:30–1:10 pm or 8:30–2:45 pm (depending on whether or not you want extracurricular classes). Part-time is 3 days a week, 8:30–1:10 or 8:30–2:45.
For kindergarten, you can choose to enroll your child full-time or part-time. The time for kindergarten is still being determined, but something like 9–12:30 pm, either 5 Days/week or 3 Days/week.
What Does "Competency-Based" Mean?
A child that signs up for our K–12 program, is enrolled in five "tracks": (1) Math-track, (2) Composition-track, (3) Life-track, (4) Tech-track, and (5) Arts-track.
Each track has four levels of competency. A student begins at a level and proceeds to the next level when he has mastered the level he is at. This competency-based method replaces artificial "grades" and allows each student to learn at their own pace.
If a student excels at a subject, they can move faster, and if they find a subject harder they can move slower. Read about the tracks here.
What is School tuition?
You have four options...
Option 1: You can sign up for 5 days a week including extracurricular classes, 8:30–2:40 pm, for $599/month.
Option 2: You can sign up for 3 days a week including extracurricular classes, 8:30–2:40 pm, for $449/month.
Option 3: You can sign up for 5 days a week without the extracurricular classes, 8:30–1:10 pm, for $499/month.
Option 4: You can sign up for 3 days a week without the extracurricular classes, 8:30–1:10 pm, for $375/month.
Important: If you choose 3 Days a week we presume that you will teach the subjects yourself two days a week so as to not fall behind.
